This can happen in very large pages. If you can, reduce the amount of data you scrape per page by choosing something on the site like "10 results per page" or similar. Also, if you've setup nested datapages and the child occurs before the parent, the datapage will hang indefinitely. Also, changing dataset initialization strings or field tags may also help. If you chose any optional fields, disable them unless they're absolutely necessary.
